Renata Herger

Cong gets its name from the Irish word Cunga, which roughly translates as an Isthmus or a neck of land. It lies nestle between the two beautiful Lakes of Lough Corrib and Lough Mask. It is on the shores of the latter that Renata lives and creates overlooking the beautiful wildness of the water. With a strong belief in re using and up-cycling she combines  driftwood from the lake with beautiful vintage beads for her hand painted driftwood pieces, bottles washed up in the floods are re-purposed into shining candle holders and hand crafted pillows of vintage fabrics and laces are filled with lavender or rose petals that she grows in her garden on the shores of the lake. We hope that you will grasp the spirit of the West in each of her works.
